Stylistic structures in Poetry of Muhammad Issa Al-Fifi

Abstract

This study wanted to reveals the stylistic levels of the poems collection of Muhammad Masood Al-faifey, entitled “the songs of the roses”, by using the stylistic method mechanisms in the analysis of his vertical poems.

The research is divided into three chapters preceded by a foreword and followed by a conclusion. In the foreword, the researcher discussed two parts. The first part dealt with the poet's life and his poetic output, while the second part discussed the familiarization with the stylistic approach.

The first chapter, entitled acoustic structure, dealt with two issues: the steady rhythmic structure and the changing rhythmic structure.

In the second chapter, entitled structure, the researcher dealt with three topics: the first topic involved structural methods, the second topic mentioned the anastrophe in the poet's works and the third topic addressed the elision in his poetry.

The third Chapter, entitled semantic structure, dealt with only two important issues: the poetic image construction mechanisms and the intertextuality in his poetry.

The conclusion included the most important results of the study, then, the research references and sources.
