Abstract

This study aims to demonstrate the impact of social responsibility on the mental image of charitable associations in Wadi Hadhramaut, from the perspective of community committees in the targeted districts in Wadi Hadhramaut. The researchers adopted the comprehensive enumeration method due to the limited size of the population and the ease of access. The sample consisted of 86 individuals represented by members of the community committees in the districts under study. The results showed a significant correlation between the study variables, and a significant impact of overall social responsibility on the mental image of charitable associations in Wadi Hadhramaut in the districts under study. Specifically, the social responsibility dimensions related to community and beneficiaries had a significant impact on the mental image of charitable organizations, while the environment dimension did not show a statistically significant impact. All findings were significance at the level of 0.05. Additionally, the results showed the absence of significant differences in the respondents’ opinions regarding the study variables that could be attributed to gender or district. The study recommended that charitable associations establish a department specialized in public relations to foster deeper relationships; diversify their activities beyond relief work, and direct their efforts towards more sustainable initiatives that address essential community needs.
