Abstract

The study intended to reveal the knowledge dimensions of learning activities in high school geography textbooks according to Bloom's Taxonomy. To achieve the objectives, the descriptive approach was adopted; a valid and reliable form was set to analyze the learning activities. The sample contained all the learning activities in the textbooks; (36) in the first, (32) in the second, and (23) in the third grades. The study Concluded that the learning activities were variously distributed according to Bloom's Taxonomy in each of the three textbooks. The findings indicated that the levels of procedural and conceptual knowledge along with comprehension and practice ranked first; whereas both levels of factual and metacognitive knowledge along with evaluation and creativity came last in the knowledge dimension.
