Evaluating Teaching Performance for Teaching Students within the Applied Education Curriculum in the Department of Special Education

This study aims to evaluate the teaching performance for the students of the third level of the special education department, college of women, Seiyun University. Within the requirements of the applied education curriculum (1) auditory and visual disability The study sample consists of the community itself (students of the third level of the special education department, college of women, seiyun university.) for the academic year 2021-2022, and the use of the analytical descriptive research approach During the processing of this statistic, percentages are used along with averages, repetitions, and correlation coefficients An outcome of this study was establishing a list of the basic performance competencies for the teacher of auditory and visual disabilities, and in its light create an evaluation note card of teaching performance to evaluate the students of the special education department in the applied education curriculum (1) that concerns hearing and sight disabilities The student's results through the evaluation note card of teaching performance varied between "Very Good" and "Excellent" in training with the visually disabled, However when dealing with auditory disabled individuals the results were consistently given a "Good" grade This study recommends the necessity of benefiting from the list of competencies and the evaluation note card in: evaluating teachers involved with students of auditory and/or visual disabilities, and in deriving job descriptions of the teachers of auditory and visually disabled students. And also benefitting from them in creating programs of preparing special education teachers for auditory and visual disabilities
