A Proposed Vision for Developing Student / Teachers’ Performance Assessment in the Department of Special Education –Seiyun University- Using Electronic Portfolio -in light of other universities experiences

This study presents the researcher’s suggested vision for developing the performance assessment of in-training student / teachers within the practical teaching course in the department of Special Education, College of Women, Seiyun University. This vision suggests the use of portfolios as an instrument of authentic assessment. This study relied on other Arabic and foreign studies showcasing the importance and effectiveness of portfolios in final assessment as well as developing multiple skills for college students, school students, or practicing teachers. This study also relied on the experiences of multiple adjacent universities, which applied this approach in their field training programs, whether in educational or applicatory colleges. The researcher then presented the vision in the form of a proposed portfolio model and what it may contain and how to use it in assessment, all while following the descriptive annalistic approach suited for this study.
